The Peregian Beach Business Association is excited to host the 2021 Village Vibes Festival in Peregian Beach Village from from April 1st -17th.
The Festival will highlight our indigenous culture, our ocean, local environment and sustainability. It will celebrate our businesses and our community with activities for children (fun and educational), a local Feast & Forage Trail, Sip & Taste Trail and Walkabout Fashion & Pooch Trail, live music, free movies in the park, Live Art Galleries and much more.
Saturday 3 April, 2021 with Welcome to Country by Traditional Kabi KabiCustodian, Lyndon Davis at 11am. This will be followed by the official launch by our sponsors, Tourism Noosa. There will also be children's Easter activities from 10am and from 12pm - 2pm. Lyndon will be hosting a Traditional Storytelling and Art Workshop for children.
The Feast & Forage Trail will be held on Saturday, April 10 and Saturday, April 17, at 10.15am and 2.15pm. The Trail will start at Veggie Village, in Rufous Street, where we will learn about community gardening. We will then be led through the Village to three different restaurants for tastings of their signature Village Vibes dish. We feel this is a unique event that really captures the vibe of Peregian Beach.
On Friday, April 9, we are having twilight shopping in the Village from 5pm - 7pm and hosting a Live Art Gallery. Businesses will host a local artist in their business - should be a lot of fun! · The following Friday will also see twilight shopping with a Walkabout Fashion & Pooch Trail meandering through the Village.
The Gala Enchanted Closing Party on Saturday · April 17, from 6pm to 9pm will be a celebration of the Village Vibes and will include live music, canapes and entertainment. Tickets will be available soon.
Throughout the Festival there will be book readings for children, bike decorating, Aboriginal art & craft and much, much more.
