Noosa Triathlon Multi Sports Festival 2006
25 - 29 October 2006
If you like festivals and sport, just 15 minutes
away from Glen Eden Resort, Noosa is a "Mecca" for
the serious triathlete, the weekend warrior,
cycling's coffee shop crowd, those incredibly lean
endorphin addicted road runners, corporate crusaders
on team bonding expeditions and outright battlers
racing against the demons within to experience the
euphoria of Noosa's finishing straight.
Now in its 24th year, Noosa Triathlon Multi Sports
Festival attracts 8,000
competitors and 30,000 spectators including the
world's best swimmers, runners, triathletes,
cyclists, volleyballers, surf ironmen and women, the
cream of Australian footballers, celebrities and
thousands of age group triathletes and supporters
from Australia and all corners of the earth.

Theatre: Noël
Coward's
Hay Fever, Noosaville 20-28 October and
Maleny, 2-3 November
On the other hand, if you like your culture, the
Sunshine Coast offers a range of amateur and
theatrical productions.
This month, for example, director Simon Denver
presents one of Noël Coward's funniest plays, Hay
Fever.
It is through his unique use of words that this play
transcends farce and becomes one of an even more
elite club – a Comedy of Manners. Coward not only
reflected his times, he helped create and define his
times and Hay Fever is tribute to this bygone
age of the Edwardians.
